Handmade monday #5

This week i finished the knitted angel just in time to put on the tree at the weekend :)

The pattern was originally from let knit mag (used the free yarn) but as i have been doing with all knits i have produced i take the pattern and make it my own- so its more personal (only alter it abit)

Also finished the scarf! chunky green garter stitch scarf :D was worrying about how long to make it! longer the better i feel :) normal scarfs are about 52inches long so i added more to make it 60inches.

Would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy holiday :D

  2. Merry Christmas! That scarf would probably reach down nearly to my toes! Lovely to have lots of scarf to snuggle in though.

  4. Your angel is gorgeous! I find a good rule of thumb with scarves is that they should be knitted as long as the recipient is tall. Merry Christmas x

  7. Lovely angel. I also made a garter stich scarf for a present, felt a bit of a fraud only using garter stitch - feel a lot better knowing that someone who can knit well uses it too!

  8. garter is still a stitch :) and the most popular one i think (and i feel is best for scarfs due to its simple look) :D what colour is it?
